Biography
The art of Evan started when he was one year old. He would scribble pens he borrowed from his father on notepad paper for the sheer enjoyment of watching lines magically appear. So much satisfaction was gained by showing the world the power of creativity from an immortal infant! As Evan grew older, he of course went through many stages and developed many different styles. One style that he uses throughout his work is that of mosaicism, hatch-marking, and pointillism. Thank you for enjoying an eternal sense of pleasure as Evan continues to highlight the pieces coming from his soul as well as this fractal universe.
Philosophy
I like core concepts in philosophy, and all the variations in art that sprout from them. For example, every kind of tree has it’s specific kind of seed. When you plant a cottonwood seed you generally have an idea of how it’s going to look. You just can’t really predict it’s shape though.
This is the same with my different styles of art. Each style is like a producer of a certain kind of seed. When I make the work for a chosen style, I’m sowing a particular “seed” if you will. The growth of the work that I work on usually surprises me with the direction it takes.
This is where the boundaries of different kinds of styles gets blurred. Hybrids, and totally new ideas pop up, and when I’m on top of things I’ll take a note of the new idea for future projects.
